The Naarm Architecture Foundation is based on the unceded lands and waterways of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country. We acknowledge over 65,000 years of continuous place-making, cultural knowledge and custodianship by Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong peoples, and by First Nations communities across Australia.
Naarm means place in Woi-wurrung language and reflects our commitment to place-based creative practice in the city of Naarm/Melbourne. We thank the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation for their guidance in using this word to shape our identity as a Foundation.
